This is the AMPSAMPS PRE-Q Parametric Tube Overdrive.

The AMPSAMPS PRE-Q Parametric Tube Overdrive builds upon the design and idea behind the PRE85 & PREF86 as an all-tube hardwired preamp pedal, and takes your signal through a 5879 pentode to capture the full spectrum of your playing - all the details of your fingers/pick attack, as well as low end thump, and drives it into a parametric midrange control that allows you to boost or cut 300, 1khz and 3khz via the 3 position selector switch. The unit features both a pre- and post-inductor volume control, so you can drive the inductor hard or tame the volume and gain that’s on tap. There’s also a tone control that allows you to dial in some of the high end content when boosting the 300hz frequency when using humbuckers, or roll it back when using single coils and boosting the 1-3khz frequencies. Inspired by the tone of the classic Gibson Tweed & Filmosound amps, as well as the the flexibility and functionality of the Ampeg VT-40 midrange circuitry, the PRE-Q is a unique and endlessly useful tool for any musician looking to carve out their frequency in the sonic spectrum.

The PRE-Q runs on 120v wall voltage, and features a custom designed Cinemag Inductor, CTS & TOKOS pots, Switchcraft jacks and Gorva Switches.

PRE-Q in Polished Aluminum finish $800. International buyers leave a note at checkout. We offer a custom-wound SOURSOUND power transformer that works on US and international voltages for an additional $100. Custom color powder coat is +$50.
