Any experienced guitarist will tell you that the tone is in the fingers… the Console Boost Deluxe excels at capturing all of the harmonic detail in your pick or finger attack. It is also unique, as is it employs an input transformer to add additional transparent “step up” to your signal which is great for dark or muddy pickups. A clarity switch rather than your typical bright switch…

The boost circuit is based on the negative feedback-style controls found in classic 1960s recording console inputs. Transparent, offering up to 60x unity gain, and known for adding high-end clarity and sustain to a guitar signal. The circuit’s design also includes a high input impedance which helps preserve the original tone of the guitar and pickups. When driven hard, the boost produces a smooth, natural distortion, reminiscent of tube triode overload. Note: crackle when increasing or decreasing the volume is due to the control re-biasing the BS170 transistor.
